Hvis du allerede har siddet og fedtet med SketchUps super funktion, Photo Match (youtube), så ved du også at man hurtigt ønsker sig at kunne arbejde ud fra flere billeder så modellen bliver mere “all-the-way-around-3D”. Og det er her Autodesk ImageModeler kommer ind i billedet. Nedenfor kan du se 2 forskellige film eksempler som taler for sig selv, men af uvisse årsager er der ingen lyd på…det er der dog på filmene her.

Videoen nedenfor viser styrken i Videotrace. Man kan sige at det er en flydende version af ImageModeller, hvor der arbejdes kontinuært i tid istedet for billeder (hvilket jo egentlig er lidt det samme). Videoen er godtnok fra 2007, og er stadig en teknologi under udvikling fra Australian Centre for Visual Technologi – se deres website for mere info, og opdatering på en kommede releasedato for et produkt.
